WESTERN MICHIGAN UNIVERSITY
Western Michigan University’s Fountain Plaza, a popular outdoor venue for student and community activities, was originally constructed by Miller-Davis Company in 1968. Fountain Plaza is surrounded by six prominent University buildings: Brown Hall, Dalton Hall, Dunbar Hall, Miller Auditorium, Richmond Center for the Visual Arts and Sprau Tower.
This $1.45 million renovation of Fountain Plaza includes removal and replacement of 45,000 square feet of concrete pavement, which is one of the largest decorative concrete pavement projects in Michigan. Additional improvements include a redesign and modification of Miller Fountain, landscaping, bench seating and the enhancement of accessibility.

The project designer is O’Boyle, Cowell, Blalock & Associates.
