THREE RIVERS HEALTH
This $4.4 million, 15,000 square foot addition and 6,000 square foot renovation project grew from the client’s desire for drastic change in the philosophy and quality of healthcare offered, which necessitated changes to the physical structure of their facility.
The lodge-like look of the entry and lobby, the metal gabled roofline and the stone and glass facade tie in strongly with a holistic approach by establishing an inviting, calm and natural environment that encourages the healing process. Interior aspects of the project include creation of a central lobby and registration area, the expansion of dining and conference facilities, renovation of the emergency department and a new ambulance canopy. Steel gabled trusses support an expansive wooden ceiling with plenty of natural light and interior finishes of stone and wood. A central fireplace and water feature round out the natural elements.
“For our phased addition and remodeling project, we needed a company with proven knowledge, experience and integrity. Miller-Davis was the obvious choice. They handled our project phasing, infection control and Opening Survey documentation seamlessly and we couldn’t have asked for a better working relationship. I was never worried,” Matt Chambers, CEO, Three Rivers Health.
Completed in spring 2006, work was completed through a Construction Manager/Constructor project delivery approach and Miller-Davis Company self-performed all General Trades work. Eckert/Wordell Architects was the design professional.
