GULL LAKE COMMUNITY SCHOOLS

2018 Bond Program

Miller-Davis Company served as construction manager for Gull Lake Community Schools’ 2018 $64.9 million bond program. Work included construction and/or remodeling of Kellogg Elementary, Richland Elementary, Ryan Intermediate, a new high school performing arts auditorium, and technology updates.

The Kellogg Elementary School project included a $13 million, 45,000-square-foot addition for 23 new classrooms, a kitchen, a cafeteria, and administrative and conference areas. In addition, 59,000 square feet of the existing building was demolished.  Even with a 7-week construction shutdown due to COVID-19 Miller-Davis completed the project ahead of schedule by two days.

Our work at Richland Elementary School included an $11 million, 37,000-square-foot addition for 23 new classrooms, renovated 26,000 square feet of classrooms, a media center, and a kitchen.

Ryan Intermediate saw a $7.5 million addition and renovation that included four 5,000-square-foot additions for a total of 20,000 new square feet and an additional 16 new classrooms, and renovation work totaling 50,000 square feet that included a cafeteria, media center, classrooms, and administrative and conference areas.

The district’s new $9.4 million, 25,000-square-foot performing arts center addition at Gull Lake High School features a 900-seat auditorium, a lobby/concessions area, a control room, a scene shop, an orchestra pit, and a performance stage area.
