Glen Oaks Community College, located in Centerville, MI, is a public community college offering degrees and certificates in various fields such as liberal arts and sciences, health professions, and business.

The occupied, $7.3 million phased renovation project focused on the north side of the campus. It revitalized the E. J. Shaheen Library, art studio, classrooms, restrooms, and foyer, creating modern and functional spaces for students, faculty, and staff. Additionally, a new electrical instruction lab was constructed, providing a state-of-the-art facility for electrical training and education.

The installation of new lighting systems improved visibility and energy efficiency, and the IT infrastructure was upgraded to enhance connectivity and digital learning capabilities. The project also involved a complete transformation of the building’s exterior, incorporating new metal panels, decorative concrete masonry units, and a curtain wall system.

The project successfully transformed the north side of the campus, bringing modernization, functionality, and aesthetic improvements. The project’s careful planning, coordination, and consideration for occupant comfort allowed for uninterrupted operations and ensured a conducive learning environment. By enhancing key areas, upgrading infrastructure, and implementing a striking exterior façade, the project contributed to the college’s commitment to providing a high-quality educational experience for students and a welcoming atmosphere for the community.
