Addition and Renovations

Miller-Davis Company served as construction manager for this significant project for Dowagiac District Library in Dowagiac, Michigan. The $5.6 million project transformed the historic Carnegie library through the construction of two 4,500 square foot levels, a new lower-level addition and significant renovations throughout the existing 5,600 square foot building. The project restored the building’s original historic Carnegie façade and included sitework and other layout changes.

The new addition features a community meeting room, study rooms, teen space and expanded popular collections for books and other items. The project also included new furnishings, technology and upgrades to the MEP systems.
