CENTRICA

Centrica, formerly Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan, is a Kalamazoo-based non-profit organization that offers a wide range of nursing, medical, social, and grief support services for individuals in advanced stages of illness and their families. Centrica purchased an existing 30,000 square foot office building in Portage, Michigan, to create a new Adult Day Care program and provide a permanent home for its Grief and Loss program. The $2.3-million project included the demolition and reconstruction of interior spaces, as well as a new entrance canopy and an outdoor courtyard. The project started in January 2009 and was completed in July of 2009.
