Borgess Health replaced its existing skilled nursing home with the new 64,000-square-foot Borgess Gardens, a $12 million, 101-bed skilled nursing home and cottages. Borgess Gardens is the first skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility in the Kalamazoo area in 20 years.

Borgess Gardens is an Eden Alternative facility. Its design was based on a neighborhood model of care that creates an intimate, personal environment for residents. The facility offers skilled nursing, assistance with activities of daily living, rehabilitation, mental health services, and end-of-life care.
