Borgess Health replaced their existing skilled nursing home facility with the new 64,000 square foot Borgess Gardens, a $12 million, 101-bed skilled nursing home and cottages. Borgess Gardens is the first skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility in the Kalamazoo area in 20 years.

Borgess Gardens is an Eden Alternative facility and the design was based upon a neighborhood model of care that creates an intimate, personal environment for residents. The facility has skilled nursing, assistance with activities of daily living, rehabilitation, mental health services and end of life care.

The Borgess project also completed 113,714 work hours without a reported accident or first aid case. This project was constructed in alliance with MIOSHA. To read more about Miller-Davis’ safety practices click here.
