Staff Promotions Announced
Communications and Marketing Manager
We are pleased to announce the promotions of several staff members. Howard Williams, Pete Hill, Nate Barton, Rachael Jennings, Jack Abate and Jeff Timmerman have all taken on new roles and expanded responsibilities with Miller-Davis Company.
Howard Williams has been promoted from senior project manager to project executive. In this role, he provides executive-level oversight and guidance for construction project teams and serves as the primary corporate contact on projects. Howard joined Miller-Davis in 2018 and has over 11 years of experience in the construction industry. He is currently working on our projects with Gull Lake Community Schools, including remodeling and additions at Kellogg Elementary and Richland Elementary and the new performing arts center at Gull Lake High School.
Pete Hill has also been promoted from senior project manager to project executive. He provides executive-level oversight and guidance for construction project teams and serves as the primary corporate contact on projects. Pete has over 25 years of experience in the construction industry and is currently working on our projects with Traverse City Area Public Schools and Comstock Public Schools.
Nate Barton has been promoted from project engineer to project superintendent. In this role, he provides overall onsite management for a project and serves as the primary field contact, with responsibility for all aspects of construction from pre-construction through post-construction. Nate first joined Miller-Davis in 2016 as an intern, before moving into the role of project engineer based in the field. Nate is currently serving as project superintendent for a remodeling and addition project at Comstock Middle School.
Rachael Jennings has been promoted from talent and culture coordinator to human resources manager. She is responsible for finding and retaining top talent for the Company. Rachael has been with Miller-Davis since 2017 and has over 10 years of experience working in human resources.
Jack Abate has been promoted from project management director to construction operations director. In this role, Jack provides overall leadership for construction operations and support for project teams. Jack joined Miller-Davis in 2002 and has over 30 years of experience in the construction industry.
Jeff Timmerman has been promoted to general contracting director. In this role, he provides full management (business development, estimating and project management) for key industrial, pharmaceutical and manufacturing clients, owners and accounts. Jeff joined Miller-Davis in 1999 and has 38 years of experience in the construction industry.
