Miller-Davis Company served as construction manager for renovations and an addition to Michigan State University's Engineering Research Complex in East Lansing.
The $6.7 million addition and renovations project supports the partnership between the MSU College of Engineering and the Fraunhofer Center for Coatings and Diamond Technologies. The collaboration provides advanced scientific research and development in coatings, diamond electronics and other diamond applications.
This addition and renovations project focused on renovating space in the existing building for Fraunhofer staff and building an addition for new technologies that will approve Fraunhofer's productivity and efficiencies. The building's electrical system was upgraded, and a new process water chiller was added to support Fraunhofer's new equipment. The project expanded and improved space to support the MSU/Fraunhofer collaboration that provides opportunities for internships, work-study and other educational programs for MSU students.
Miller-Davis also self-performed general trades work on this project.
