Miller-Davis served as the construction manager for Mattawan Consolidated School's new $28.7 million, 123,000 square foot Later Elementary that opened for the start of school in fall 2017. The school features learning spaces that encourage interaction, support community and evolve with educational standards. The building's three wings are efficiently organized along a single thruway that minimizes student travel time during the day and connects to the adjacent Early Elementary. Each wing houses a different grade level. The hallways include open space for collaborative learning commons. These adaptable learning spaces support any type of learning.
The new Later Elementary School was part of Mattawan's 2014 $79 million bond program that also included a new Early Elementary School, as well as updates and additions at Mattawan's Middle School and High School.
