Miller-Davis does not view construction and safety separately, but as construction integrated with safety, and we rely on all those involved to aid in the improvement of all aspects of safety and accident prevention. We are committed to providing a safe workplace for employees and all workers on our projects. While everyone at Miller-Davis is actively committed to safety, we also have a full-time Safety Coordinator to provide overall management and implementation of our Safety Program, training and recordkeeping.
Kyle Frailing, Safety Coordinator, is the first in the construction industry and second person in Michigan to receive double Level 1 Certifications in Construction and General Industry from a new and innovative safety training program, MIOSHA Training Institute (MTI). Our customers enjoy the benefits of these certifications through reduced jobsite hazards, competitive pricing, effective jobsites in terms of quality and schedule, as well as the peace of mind of knowing their project and employees are safe.
Miller-Davis participates in the AGC-MIOSHA Alliance. This voluntary, cooperative partnership, offered by the AGC of Michigan and MIOSHA, allows us to fully dedicate ourselves to finding innovative ways to enhance workplace safety and health. With this proactive program, we have an open door policy for MIOSHA safety and health inspections, resulting in safer jobsites and no lost time accidents.
Due to our commitment to safety Miller-Davis Company has been awarded the Associated General Contractors (AGC) of Michigan Outstanding Safety Performance Award for achieving a zero injury incident rate in 2009. To read more about this award click here.
